Behind a drop of essential oil there is much more than a scent.
There is a project to stop deforestation and offer an alternative where communities earn more money collecting leaves than cutting down trees. Ivonne Mosler and Rafael Parducci was looking for a magical place to live and they arrived in the city of Archidona where we fell in love with the biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest, seeing the deforestation of Napo that lost 9.24 kha of primary rainforest in the last 2 decades. They knew that they had to act. This is how Ashna Samai uses ancestral knowledge with the rich Amazonian biodiversity and the alchemy of aromas with the purpose of contributing to the conservation of the Ecuadorian forests and improving the economy of the communities. Project grows next to a tree
This beautiful project consists of giving each child born in the Archidona canton 15 species between timber trees, fruit trees, aromatic, in this way the child grows in the same way as the tree and can live from the collection of leaves, while the tree reaches maturity to be cultivated have the opportunity to harvest the short cycle plants, so we ensure that they can have an education and proper nutrition.
The project aims to promote sustainable reforestation and generate a positive environmental impact through the planting and care of trees in strategic areas. This initiative not only promotes the recovery of natural ecosystems and the capture of CO₂, but also seeks to actively involve local communities, inspiring a culture of environmental responsibility and commitment to future generations.
Through partnerships with educational institutions, companies and volunteers, Grow with a Tree offers learning and development opportunities, allowing each participant to "grow" with the tree they plant, in a symbol of commitment, life and positive transformation.
